Buses - urban transport in Łódź is managed by MPK. The network of daytime buses includes a large number of connections. Trams - urban transport in Łódź is managed by MPK. The network of tram connections includes fifteen urban routes (numbered from 1 to 15) and two suburban ones (43 and 46). The urban routes go from the outskirts of the city and all cross the centre. At peak hours trams run every couple of minutes. |
TICKETS: passengers of the public transport vehicles in Łódź managed by MPK must use punched time tickets. A 30-minute ticket costs 2.40 PLN, 60-minute – 3.60 PLN, 120-minute ticket – 4.80 PLN. An all-day ticket costs 12.00 PLN. |

Trains - – there are two major railway stations in Łódź. Łódź Kaliska station is located in the Western part of the city, between the airport and the centre. It is the meeting point for trains going to Southern, Northern and Eastern Poland. Buses - the main bus terminal for regional, domestic and foreign journeys is situated in the centre of the city, close to Łódź Fabryczna railway station. From here you can take a bus both to towns located in the vicinity of Łódź and to other major cities in Poland. The domestic bus transport is managed by the regional departments of PKS. Other domestic carriers like Polski Express and ELA are also available. |
