SIGHTSEEING
Places of interest:

The Kościuszko Square - The most impressive part of Gdynia. This is the venue where all big outdoor events, concerts and picnics take place. The Square, entered by two main streets Świętojańska Street and 10 Lutego Street, joins a wharf where historical vessels, sailing ships and cruisers are moored.
One of the ships you can see there is “Dar Pomorza”, a historic sailing ship from 1909, and a destroyer ORP Błyskawica, which took active part in World War II.

The Oceanographic Museum and Marine Aquarium - in the aquarium you can see tortoises, tropical fish and other species such as characinids, as well as other sea creatures. The museum shows, among other attractions, a miniature model of the Baltic Sea bed.

Świętojańska Street - the city’s main street. The most expensive shops, cafes and restaurants are concentrated there.

Kamienna Góra - the illuminated cross here gives the best view point for Gdańsk seaport, Gdynia’s piers and the Gdańsk shipyards.
